Consultation has concluded
This consultation has now closed and the final delivery of the project is underway. Thank you for all your input which has helped shape this project for the community.
The Noosa Sport and Active Recreation Plan provides a clear direction for the future development of the sport and active recreation sector in the Noosa Shire.
Council completed the first phase of public consultation earlier in 2017.That community input was considered in the development of a Draft Sport & Active Recreation Plan.
The community was invited to provide feedback on the Draft Plan via a survey and that feedback was considered in drafting the amended version which went to Council for endorsement on October 19, 2017 and was successful in being adopted.
The Plan provides an understanding of the current status and the potential for future development of the local sport and active recreation sector from grass roots to elite participation, including administration and coaching.
Additionally, the plan identifies key stakeholders (including Council) and provides recommendations about how they can support the mechanisms that enable residents and visitors to fully participate in active sport and recreation in Noosa, as a provider or participant.
