One lane opening - Friday, 9 May 2025

Great news for the Black Mountain community.
One lane is scheduled to open on Friday, 9 May 2025, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Traffic will run in a shuttle flow arrangement, which means motorists will be allowed through one direction at a time, with temporary traffic signals to be installed to direct traffic. This arrangement will be in place 24-hours-a-day. There may also be traffic control operating between the worksite and Black Mountain Range Road where some further pavement works may be necessary. Please follow all traffic instructions to ensure worker and motorist safety.
With construction activities still underway until the end of the month, there may be delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours to allow workers and vehicles through.
Council and Hazell Bros are finalising the traffic management arrangements and putting the final touches on work needed to allow one lane to open.
Emergency Services has also been advised the road across the landslip site will be opened to one lane.
Please note that Council’s kerbside waste services will not resume until the road is fully open.
