Draft Design

Council has prepared a final design ( see page two of Project News 2 in the Document Library to the right of this screen ) based on items identified by the community to be included in a new park design and consultation feedback. These items include:

  • a new 2m wide concrete pathway network within the park, linking with 4 new car parking bays off Prince Street;
  • a new park shelter & BBQ facilities;
  • drainage improvements;
  • new turf to improve the surface of the park grounds;
  • a power supply to cater for future markets;
  • actions to prevent vehicle access via private property;
  • improved road access to properties;
  • new park seating;
  • existing playground upgrade
  • improved amenity of the area

An arborist's report has identified unhealthy trees for removal to improve the overall safety of the park.
