Sundial Park Draft Master Plan

Sundial Park is a much-loved local space, and Council is preparing a long-term master plan to guide how it is developed, renewed and improved over time. As a park classified as a district park, it plays an important role for the surrounding community, and this master plan will help ensure it continues to meet local needs into the future.

We're in the early planning stage, and this is your chance to help shape the direction before any detailed designs are drawn up. Right now, we're listening. We want to understand how the community currently uses Sundial Park, what you love about it, and the improvements and experiences you'd like to see in the future.

Your feedback will help identify community priorities and inform the preparation of a draft master plan, which will then guide future upgrades, renewals and funding considerations for the park over the long term.

What this means for your feedback

  • This is a long-term plan, not a works schedule. It sets the direction for Sundial Park over the coming years, and improvements will be delivered gradually as funding becomes available. You won't see changes on the ground straight away.
  • The playground is set to move to a new spot away from the flood-prone area, so it stays safer and open more often. Where it goes and what's in it is still open for your input.
  • Most other parts of the park are open for discussion. They may be kept, moved or changed based on what the community tells us matters most.
  • There are no fixed designs yet. This stage is about understanding what you value, so your ideas can genuinely shape what comes next.
