Noosa Botanic Gardens Master Plan 2025
Have your say on the draft master plan from now until 7 November 2025.
More than 150 locals shared feedback through surveys, pop-ups, walkarounds and submissions during Phase 1. That input directly shaped the design, priorities and long-term vision for the Noosa Botanic Gardens — for today and for future generations.
We have analysed your feedback and invite you to have your say on the draft Noosa Botanic Gardens Master Plan.
This Master Plan is shaped by your input. Read the draft Master Plan here.
You can read a summary of community feedback here.
We’ve responded to your top priorities.
The draft Master Plan includes:
Expanded and relocated parking to improve access, flow, and the arrival experience
A welcoming new arrivals precinct with kiosk, amenities, and community space
Accessible promenades and upgraded footpaths for safer, inclusive movement
Improved signage and wayfinding to help visitors navigate with ease
Shaded seating and gathering zones for rest and connection
A Botanic Playground for nature-based play and learning
Cultural spaces including a Reflection Zone and Bush Tucker gardens
Flexible vendor areas to support events and activation
This is a 25-year vision for the Gardens.
The Master Plan sets a long-term direction for how the Gardens will evolve — with projects prioritised and delivered in stages over time, balancing preservation, accessibility, and community use. This plan reflects your ideas and helps ensure they remain a treasured place for future generations.

Stakeholder Reference Group
To guide the delivery of the master plan process, Council has appointed a community reference group in a voluntary capacity. The purpose of the group is to provide advice and strategic direction for the development of the master plan.
Members of the group include representatives from the Friends of Noosa Botanic Gardens, SEQ Water, Noosa Hinterland Residents Association, Cooroy Area Residents Association, Cooroy Future Group / Cooroy Butter Factory, Outdoor Queensland and Tourism Noosa.
The group is chaired by Cr Karen Finzel and will meet on multiple occasions as the project progresses to ensure the proposed design response aligns with community aspirations.
We have also been undertaking some early conversations with key project stakeholders to further our understanding of the opportunities for this much-loved space. Click here to view the visual summary of the feedback from Phase 1.
