Thank you Noosa for your valuable input into the local law-making process. Noosa Council received 672 submissions including 128 Your Say Noosa Forum responses, a 97 page petition and over 50 comments on Facebook at the conclusion of the Subordinate Local Law community consultation period.

All of the submissions, the petition and the Facebook comments have assessed and considered.

Noosa Council has now signed off on a suite of new local laws that retain all of Noosa’s existing dog off-leash areas and add some new ones in areas suggested by residents. The decision reflects residents’ calls for the north Sunshine Beach off-leash and Peregian Beach dog on-leash areas to remain unchanged. The new local laws will come into effect on 1 July 2015 after they are gazetted.
