The aim of the Local Economic Plan is to:
* strengthen the resilience of the local economy by broadening its structure and achieving growth in industry sectors that have high economic value and low environmental impact, and * strengthen the quality of life of residents by supporting social and environmental values of our community
The Plan:

The AEC Group were engaged to prepare an economic profile for the Noosa Shire to develop an evidence base that would inform the development of the Local Economic Plan and form a baseline from which to monitor and measure the local economy over time.
Outcomes of the Plan will be achieved through projects undertaken in collaboration and partnership with business and industry, government agencies as well as business representative groups and organisations.
