2017 ArtCycle Prize Entries Open Now
Entrants will be invited to find the artistic potential amongst the disused and discarded items in the tip shop and other second-hand centres around the Sunshine Coast. Artworks will highlight the creative ability to discover a new future for household items and/ furniture that have served their initial purpose.
Shortlisted artworks will be exhibited at Noosa Regional Gallery from 9th September – 15th October 2017
Prizes:
The Winner will be selected by the community via a People’s Choice process.
There are three cash prizes to be won.
1st Prize $2000, 2nd Prize $1500 and 3rd $500.
ArtCycle Prize Entries Close
Artcycle
2017 will see Noosa Council introduce the Artcycle Art Prize. Inspired by Council’s Towards Zero Waste strategy, this component of Floating Land will be offered by Noosa Regional Gallery in partnership with Council’s Eumundi Road Resource & Recovery Centre.

Expressions of Interest - Applications Closed
Applications close for both Expressions of Interest processes - Commissioned Works and the Boreen Point Component.

Selection and engagement of the artists will be undertaken by an experienced curatorial panel. The panel will seek artists of proven ability to deliver new works responsive to the “Lost and Found” theme in an outdoor context.
Expressions of Interest - Boreen Point Component - Applications Closed
Noosa Council invites Expressions of Interest from community organisations wishing to submit a proposal to plan and deliver the Boreen Point component of Floating Land. The connection between practicing artists, the community and the artworks is an essential component of Floating Land. This will occur in the unique environment at Boreen Point on the shores of Lake Cootharaba. This component will be delivered by the community with a $15,000 contribution from Council. The date/s of the Boreen Point Component will be determined in consultation with Council.
