Community Develop the first Place Plan for the Shire in Pomona
Thanks, Pomona for your feedback on the draft Pomona Place Plan between 18 October and 17 November.
Your feedback confirmed that we have listened, and the draft list of actions suggested by the community is in line with what you think is most important for your community.
Our engagement and collaboration with you has also been recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia Awards for Planning Excellence.
You can find the final Pomona Place Plan (see PDF below) and review the community input to develop the Place Plan during Phase 1 and Phase 2 in the tabs on the right-hand side of your screen.

About the Pomona Place Plan
Noosa Council has been working with the Pomona community to develop the Pomona Place Plan. This is a pilot project for Council to test a new approach to planning, engaging, and improving the liveability of its diverse villages and towns.
The plan will bring together a shared vision to make Pomona an even better place to live in the future.
This pilot project will test new organisational governance structures and processes within Council and the community to develop learnings that will be applied to towns and villages across the shire through the Noosa Place Program. You can find out more about the Placemaking Program here
Phases
Survey 2
Registration for the YourSay platform is required before completing the survey. This step is essential to enhance data security, improve response analytics for accurately understanding community preferences, eliminate duplicate entries and prevent bot infiltration. Your feedback is best facilitated through the YourSay project page, however it may be submitted directly to Council by email to placemaking@noosa.qld.gov.au(External link).
Noosa Shire Council will only use the personal information collected for the intended purpose, to remain in contact with you regarding your response and the legitimate functions and services of Council affecting your property. Council is authorised to collect this information in accordance with the Local Government Act 2009 and associated laws. Access to your personal information will only be provided to appropriate Council employees and authorised officers. Your personal information will only be disclosed to third parties with your consent, or if required to do so by law. Your personal information is handled in accordance with Council’s Privacy Policy.
All information collected will be for the purpose of developing a Place Plan for Pomona and will be stored and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Data will be de-identified for the purpose of reporting the findings back to the community.
