Peregian Beach Playground Renewal

Peregian Beach Playground is due for renewal as part of Council's ongoing program to maintain parks and playgrounds across the Shire. We're seeking community input to help shape the play experience and character for the new playground. This is a renewal, not a full park redesign: the budget, safety standards and existing footprint will guide the final design.

What's already decided

The playground will be renewed on its current site, largely within the existing footprint. New play equipment will meet Australian Safety Standards. The bark surface will be replaced, and a double swing is included in the new design. The available budget needs to cover the whole project, not just play equipment.

Have your say

This project is a renewal of the existing playground within its current footprint and available budget. It is not a full redevelopment of the playground or the wider park. The survey is intentionally short and focuses on understanding who uses the playground and what types of play should be prioritised when selecting the replacement equipment.

What will happen next

Your feedback will help shape the brief we send to suppliers. Suppliers will respond with concept options that fit the budget, footprint and what we've heard from you. Council will then select a concept from those options.

Construction is planned to commence in late April 2027, with completion expected by the end of June 2027.
