Noosa Catchment Action Plan
The Noosa Catchment is one of Australia’s healthiest and most important river systems. It supports clean water, thriving wildlife, tourism, and the lifestyle that makes Noosa unique.
Noosa Council is working in partnership with the Council of Mayors SEQ Resilient Rivers Initiative to develop a long-term Catchment Action Plan for the Noosa River and surrounding waterways.
Community knowledge, local values and lived experience will help shape the plan alongside scientific and technical expertise.
The plan will help guide future waterway management, strengthen regional collaboration, and support the long-term health and resilience of the catchment in the face of growing environmental pressures. Caring for our catchment, together.

Phases
Broad community engagement: Have your say on the draft
Broader community engagement on the draft Catchment Action Plan (CAP) will take place on Your Say Noosa later this year. The community will have opportunities to learn more about the catchment, explore the draft plan and share feedback to help inform the final plan.
