
Noosa Biosecurity Plan
This consultation has now closed and the final delivery of the project is underway. Thank you for all your input which has helped shape this project for the community.
The Noosa Biosecurity Plan was adopted by Council in February 2020. Council would like to thank submitters for their contributions to the development of this Plan.
BACKGROUND
Council has developed a Biosecurity Plan to guide public and private landholders in the management of invasive (pest) animals and plants.
The Noosa Biosecurity Plan is a requirement of the Biosecurity Act 2014 and an action under the Noosa Environment Strategy 2019
All landowners have a biosecurity obligation to manage the invasive species identified in the Act. The Plan provides priorities for invasive species management, covering categories such prevention, eradication and containment.

Consultation
Council approved the Draft Noosa Biosecurity Plan for public consultation at its Ordinary Meeting on Thursday, November 21. Members of the community are invited to review the draft document and provide comment document during the consultation period, which closes 5pm, Monday, December 23.
