About the Eastern Beaches Foreshore Reserves Management Plan

Noosa’s Eastern Beaches are important to many, including Eastern Beaches neighbours, other coastal communities, and hinterland communities that visit and value the Eastern Beaches.

Noosa Council has drafted the Eastern Beaches Foreshore Management Plan in response to clear community desire for nature-based coastal climate change adaption under the Noosa Coastal Hazards Adaptation Plan 2021.

Improving the ecosystem health of Noosa’s coastal environments is also a management priority in the Noosa Environment Strategy.

The draft Eastern Beaches Foreshore Management Plan identifies the key management issues and proposed actions to achieve these outcomes into the future.

The Plan focuses on public land managed by Council in the Eastern Beaches coastal foreshore reserves and near–coastal bushland reserves. It does not apply to private land, National Parks, leases, or open space parks.
