Consultation has closed and the Master Plan adopted by Council.
After extensive consultation with the associated sports clubs and feedback from the community, on 13 January 2020 Council endorsed the Noosa District Sports Complex Master Plan to provide a long-term vision for the Complex, identifying what the site should look like and how it should function in the future. Preliminary design has commenced for Noosa District Sports Complex with an Expression of Interest submitted for Infrastructure works.
The Noosa District Sports Complex is located at 31 Butler Street Tewantin and is home to:
Tewantin Tennis Club
Noosa District Netball Association
Noosa Beach Classic Car Club
Tewantin Noosa Cricket Club
Noosa District Rugby League Club
Noosa Touch Football Club
Noosa District Softball Association
Noosa Oztag
Tewantin- Noosa Pony Club
The aim of a Master Plan is to provide a long-term vision for the Complex, identifying what the site should look like and how it should function into the future. The master plan considers the next 10-year period from 2020-2030 and guides future sports infrastructure development and investment, both by Council and the clubs through grant applications or club capital investments.
