Noosa Biosecurity Plan
Consultation has concluded
This consultation has now closed and the final delivery of the project is underway. Thank you for all your input which has helped shape this project for the community.
The Noosa Biosecurity Plan was adopted by Council in February 2020. Council would like to thank submitters for their contributions to the development of this Plan.
BACKGROUND
Council has developed a Biosecurity Plan to guide public and private landholders in the management of invasive (pest) animals and plants.
The Noosa Biosecurity Plan is a requirement of the Biosecurity Act 2014 and an action under the Noosa Environment Strategy 2019.
All landowners have a biosecurity obligation to manage the invasive species identified in the Act. The Plan provides priorities for invasive species management, covering categories such prevention, eradication and containment.
