Due to popular demand the Come and Try Adventure Challenge is FULLY BOOKED.

Noosa Council is excited to bring you the Noosa Come and Try Adventure Challenge – a three-hour adventure course in the Noosa Hinterland - paddling, mountain biking, trekking and basic navigation - to be held on Sunday, 27 May 2018.

This free event will be hosted by Tri Adventure and was created to showcase the beautiful Noosa outdoors and to encourage friends and families to join up in teams of two and be inspired to be active and explore their backyard in a fun challenge over three hours. If you don't have a team of two we would be happy to find you a partner!

Each participant will receive a specially designed Noosa Come and Try Adventure product and will go into a random draw for some great prizes.

LOCATION: Lake MacDonald Park, Lake MacDonald Drive, Cooroy (Adjacent to Noosa Botanical Gardens).

SCHEDULE:

  • 7:45am Sign in - no late entries can be made.
  • 8:00am Map hand-out and Q and A
  • 8:50am Compulsory challenge and safety briefing
  • 9:00am Challenge start
  • 12:00noon Post challenge BBQ

If you would like to know more about Adventure Racing Tri Adventure will be conducting a Skills Clinic on Saturday 21st April at Kayak Noosa. This will incorporate navigation and paddling skills along with gear suggestions and demonstrations.     Congratulations to everyone who came along and supported the Noosa Come & Try Adventure Challenge on Sunday May 27, 2018 .Over 120 participants were taken out of their comfort zone and were challenged with unfamiliar surroundings, physical and mental challenges and weather conditions at the Come and Try Adventure Challenge . Participants kayaked on Lake McDonald, mountain biked and hiked in the Noosa Hinterland.

    All disciplines involved teamwork and navigation using a map and compass.The event was hosted by Tri Adventure to encourage friends and families to be inspired to be active and explore the Noosa Hinterland in a fun challenge, and local suppliers Kayak Noosa and Bike On provided the kayaks and bikes.

    Noosa Council would also like to acknowledge the Queensland Government who provided a $15,000 Game on Queensland grant through the Embracing 2018 Legacy Program all the Tri Adventure volunteers who helped out on the morning.
